Aqaponics setup complete

A submerged pump (from $10 aquarium filter) pumps water from aquarium to hefty platic container/tank on top. This tank is syphoned to a cleaned danon yogurt container,  danon mug has a hole in center and drain pipe through the hole would drain water back to aquarium. As water enters tank it would syphon water to danon mug to level water in both containers. The drain set at a level would make sure the water level would not exceed the set limit, draing excess water back to aquarium.
Pending tasks: Fill substrate in the tank and cover tank. Make suitable holes on the cover and plant.

Aquaponics setup

Hope fully this week I would complete my aquaponics setup. I have been lazy in posting updates, as I got some time now I am even bragging about up coming work. Rubix cube project is one on hold for long.

Start up from seeds

These pictures are from first week of April when I had to move my seed planter setup indoors as temperatures are expected to be around 3-4 degrees centigrade. I started this around mid march and now most of the seeds have sprouts except peppers.

Fresh mint patch

I have a Mint herb patch on a side of my garden box/lot . I have been harvesting leaves every week on my visit to garden.

Aquarium stand with rack for aquaponics

I have been working on this aquarium stand. The earlier table is short enough for Chaitan to climb on. This new stand buils with wood from Home depot has a rack for plant tray on top hopefully I would interate it with aquarium for aquaponics setup.
